It showed up with the - sign on the top line and the 1 all by itself on the bottom line, so I thought it was asking the square root of 1
2nd year math student who got this wrong...... I got to say in my defence, it doesnt really matter what you call it, the math is just the same.
and people use ^ when typing exponents. ^ means "to the power of". omg yea yea im asian and Ima math nerd
if u took and passed an algebra class u know this... if u failed thats probably why lol

this is wrong it is 12 because 6+6=12 so yea whoever made this up is wrong so yea get it straight
If you are going to assume that the square root of 144 is -12 Then why can't you also say the it could be a -7 or -9. This means it could also go (-7+9-12)^2 = 100 or anything like that. It's a shitty question and you would have been better to assume that people are going to assume that the 12 is not negative. You put multiple correct answers...
